Make up pictures will be on Tues. October 7th at 4:30pm. Grass area across the street from the Adult Softball Complex (water district parking lot) It will be first come first serve. If possible I would like the teams who are planning on taking makeups contact me by 10/1/08 at angie.o@comcast.net so that I can give Pro Image an idea of how many to expect. |

PICTURE PICK UP - October 11 (new date!) |

Due to field closure and possibility of more rain on Saturday morning picture pickup was cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday, October 11 at PMS from 9-12. For those unable to pickup on the 11th, please contact me to arrange to pick them up on another day. I will not be available on Saturday afternoon or evening due to AVHS homecoming. Thanks you and again sorry for any inconvenience.

Note: Open nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting on October 22, 2008. These nominees must be present at this meeting.
Annual Elections of the final 15 Board members shall be held via an online ballot vote directly following the October AGM. Results will be tallied by the election inspectors and announced prior to the Board meeting in November.
At the first meeting of the 2009 calendar year, the Board will elect, from its 15 members, a President, Competitive Vice President, Recreational Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
The Annual General Meeting will be on October 22, 2008. Amendments to the Constitution shall be voted on at the AGM.

6th Ryan Gordon Foothill-Amador Alumni Soccer Games

 When: Sunday, December 28th, 2008
Location: Amador Valley High School
Time: Women: 2:00pm Men: 4:30pm

Foothill and Amador High School Alumni will be playing in the 6th Foothill-Amador Alumni Soccer Games on Sunday, December 28th. There will be 2 games featuring Men’s and Women’s soccer players from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. Each game will be divided into periods for the “older” players and the “younger” players.
If you are an ex-soccer player from Amador or Foothill and would like to play, you can get more information and/or register at All-Star Sports. Another way to register is to download an application and mail it to

There is a $20 fee to play. The deadline to register is Friday, December 26th.
Players and fans are invited to the “Hop Yard Alehouse” after the games. 15% of proceeds will be donated to the programs. There will be “special entertainment” during each of the halftimes this year!

Winner of the 2008 Sportsmanship College Scholarship Announced |

 The Board of Directors of your club, Pleasanton Girls Soccer Association, is pleased to announce the winner of the 2008 Sportsmanship college scholarship, Kristina Evans.
The fund was established by the Paul Truex Family and Friends last year, with the purpose of honoring a graduating high school senior who has exhibited exemplary conduct on and off the soccer field.
Kristina has played for our club ever since U8 and has played on a Competitive team since U10. Three years ago she was chosen Captain of her team, a responsibility she held for two seasons. As a player, she was inspirational to her teammates in her tenacious, unselfish play and treated her opponents with integrity and respect. Off the field, Kristina’s achievements are at least as impressive and inspiring as those on the field. She has been active in the planning of numerous Foothill High School student activities including serving as Vice President in her junior and senior years. Kristina was an important driver in a $20,000 fundraiser at Foothilll for Hurricane Katrina relief. Kristina plans to attend San Jose State University, with a major in kinesiology.
Best wishes to Kristina and thank you for representing your RAGE club in such a remarkable fashion. |

PLEASANTON RAGE. The Northern California powerhouse, winner of national titles in 2002 and 2004, was second at the Region IV U-16 finals in 2006 and won the U-17 regional title in 2007. They have two players on the U-17 national team: Megan Jurado and Olivia Klein. Rising Star: Jessica Michelson was named to Region I's '93 team for the 2007 ODP Interregionals.
